some things turn out GREAT in the end...

As part of my Uni course I have to spend a couple of weeks in a school. Something happened to my "application" and I was not allocated a school. It was looking pretty dire as to my options -most involved travelling miles and miles etc and it was stressing me out. I had listed my interests as Art and ESL (English as a Second Language) - I could have kissed the coordinator when she offered me a school very close with the ART teacher!!! The coordinator was concerned because instead of two weeks I will need to stretch it over 4 weeks as the Art teacher works only 3 days a week - it is perfect for me. It was getting complicated getting all 3 kids looked after and this works out perfectly- they are looked after on these days anyway. I am very happy...and I get to learn all about kids and Art!! I hope it gets really messy!!

You know, some people would be thinking the messing was a negative thing, but not you, of course! I'm sure it will be great fun....hope you have a ball!

I think being an Art teacher would be so much fun. One of my aunts did it in Melbourne and it was extremely competitive to get a place at a school, so clearly not only do a lot of other people also think it would be fun, it is fun because they never leave their jobs once they get them.

Glad it all worked out so well. Thank heavens for lost applications!

How awesome!! I did a little bit of student teaching with an art teacher when I was in college. I LOVED it. I am excited for you.
