Crash!!

..that would be the sound of my sewing machine being thrown out the window!!...Not so loud crash...would be the sound of my other sewing machine following it!!! Bloody hell - I was all set for a night of all inspired sewing. My original machine is in need of a service and continues to break the thread all the time plus the normal foot is broken. The other machine is one that has been in its case for about 1-2 years and I decided to try it out tonight. It is a 30 year old Elna that I had my Mum search for in the 2nd hand pages, as I wanted a mechanical machine too as my computerised one sucks at the bulky stuff!! The needle jammed and I got the shits so packed them up and figure I will go and knit instead...with a glass of wine....or a Gin...and chocolate!!..lots of it!!!

I am probably on edge too as I am sitting here checking my "IN" box every 30 seconds as I am waiting for the final all clear - go ahead so that I am able to do my 8 week teaching Internship at a school in Switzerland. This has been a long drawn out process to get the all clear and now I am waiting on the final one!! No pressure really EXCEPT I reserved 5 bloody tickets to Europe today thanks to QANTAS and their great two for one deal!!! I NEED to know by tonight as I need to pay for the tickets tomorrow. Of course now that we are able to save at least $3000 if I don't know by tonight I don't want to bother going!!

....so really probably not in the best mood to be playing with machinery.....

Hopefully I am in a better mood tomorrow even though we will be nearly $8000 out of pocket!!
