Very hot here at the moment and despite my promise to be productively creative.....I am a bit lazy. Having had a big clean out of the sewing room/office....I really don't want to go and mess it up. Which proves I really can work well and better in a mess and chaos!!! However I did recover a stool and a chair in some summery fabric that will hide the dirt and food that quickly gets embedded in the previous fabric. Plastic chairs with kids around really do make so much sense!!
Before.
After.
This is what I could live on all summer...plus wine of course!! There is nothing nicer than fresh tomatoes from my own garden with some basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar and some good Italian bread.....mmmmmmm!!

You have inspired me. I really must recover my kitchen table chairs. They are currently covered with greasy finger smuges, colored markers stains, paint spills, and dried glue bits from my little angels.
Love the green Hawaii print!
OK then, I'm coming over for some bruschetta! I'll bring some wine. My kids can play with your kids and we'll sit back and watch!
Looove the tomatoes! I wanna come to your place for lunch :)
I like that fabric you used on the chair - I'm getting a bit over "shabby chic" pale, pale, pale and am yearning for a splash of brights in all the decorating mags. My own place is so "eclectic" that it doesn't matter! (I work better in a mess too).
I'm so pleased to hear that it isn't only me who works best in a mess...lol. Love the covering on the chairs. Mine are blue suedey kind of fabric, covered with what else but old terry towelling nappies to keep them clean. Providing the kids remember to pull the cover straight, the chairs remain relatively clean. I do like the fabrics you have chosen though - very bright, a pleasant change from all the brown and white tones you see in the mags.
Ohhh, your chair & stool look very nice with their new look...
As for those tomatoes ~ well, I'm jealous because I am still waiting for mine to ripen. I can't wait :)
Oh they are beautiful....my daughter has her chairs that REALLY need recovering....my son does this for a living, and is suppose to do hers, but it 's another one of those put off things....
