i will miss this!!

With the start of school tomorrow I am both excited for my girls and sad for me. Big school means a uniform and so there will be no more precious days of "do you like what I chose to wear today?" from Shay. I only wish I had captured more of her wonderful combinations on film!! I am sad that the time I have with the girls will be so much less and it will need to be shared. Still I should be happy as they are both so very excited about going back to school. Others I know are dreading the whole experience as their children really do not want to go.

We have had a wonderful holiday doing not much....in fact being really quite lazy!! But that is what summer holidays are about I think....gathering enough energy for the rest of the year. I guess that is why the girls are so keen to get into school and even I am looking forward to starting my studies in a few weeks. I am going fulltime this year so that could be interesting.

I have had some recent creative moments, however I need to be shown how to upload pics from the other camera and as "Desperate Housewives" (my one tv must watch) is on very soon....I will need to learn another time!!!

Are you implying that her combination of clothes is not quite coordinated? I wore something very similar to that to work today...

I feel quite choked up just thinking about my littlest grandaughter heading off to school, but I know how keen she is to go. She and Zoe will have so much to share now. I'm glad you had such a good holiday - I hope the rest of the year will be just as good.
Love to you all.

Your daughter has wonderful taste!Lovely post! Nice to hear that there´s another Mum who is sad when the school holidays are over, most parents have run out of ideas and money and can´t wait for school to start. I really miss my kids when they´re at school too!
I have 3 boys by the way.
Thanks for dropping by, I´m really happy to have some Aussie contact!

I'm still getting over the fact they are only just heading back to school! I assume they don't finish until just before Xmas down your way, otherwise they have very long holidays!
Shay looks adorable in what she's wearing :) And it's nice that they are looking forward to school - boy does that make all the difference. I hope you enjoy your studies this year too, Shelly...

I love Shay's flair!

I know exactly what you mean about missing your kids...my eldest just started school, and she is loving it, while I can't believe she's not around through the day. My son is a bit lost without her, too.

I guess it's all part of the long process of letting go. And there are still plenty of hours before and after school, and over weekends and holidays. Maybe next non-school day, you could give Shay free rein, and then let us see her latest creative outfit!

Shay looks so cute.....my last two kids had to wear uniforms.....at least there was no fighting as to what they should wear.....it is so hard to believe that over there your ending your summer, and we are ending our winter....well almost... it's funny when i just had 2 kids, i was sad when they had to go back to school, then when I had 4 kids, I was quite happy to see them get back to school.....my kids each have 2, and Linda always says how did you do it with 4 mom......? I usually tell her, it was tough, but worth it.......

What a little cutie. And great taste!! I see some of those wild combinations in our elementary school where I work. They're a riot :)

Your mum sent me a pic of the girls in their school uniforms....so sweet with those little hats on :) Brought back memories of my kids in their Aussie school uniforms.
We have a week off for winter break next week. Yah! I'll have more time to blog!!
