Happy Anniversary & Birthday....belated!!

While up in Townsville Marcel and I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary!! Ten years ago (June 29th) on a freezing and really rainy day in Canberra we were married in my parents lounge room. Five weeks prior, having spent 3 months together over a period of 18 months we decided to get married!! It was a very casual and relaxed wedding which is how we like to celebrate things anyway. So last Thursday we caught a taxi into town and walked until we found a restaurant we liked and enjoyed some really good food and good wine. We didn't exchange gifts as we just dont. Although I did buy Marcel one of those really cheesy and awful "To my dear husband on our anniversary" cards and of course wrote a silly message! We had a really nice evening and cannot believe how fast 10 years can fly or what we have managed to achieve in that time....It has been an Amazing 10 years Darling!




The next day our darling boy Luca turned 3!! We celebrated his birthday with a day at the Aquarium, a yummy lunch at "Tims Surf and Turf" and then back to the aquarium to see the shark feeding. Where a tired Luca said to me "Oh, But I don't WANT to hold a Shark!". Then to a Cafe for Babycinos and then to a cake shop where Luca eventually chose a huge chocolate cake!! It was so big is was our dinner that night and we ate it for breakfast the following two mornings (well we were on holidays!!!).

I cannot believe I have just now had another call from The Canberra Times newspaper to ask us if we would like a subscription to the paper. I had another call a couple of months ago. I kindly said 'No' as we had tried it for about 6 months last year and found that we were not reading it. So I cancelled the subscription December last year. It is still being delivered to us 3 days a week !!! We quite like having it delivered for free!!!
