Off to the Beach again!!
Well it is summer holidays and the beach is calling us!! We are 2 hours from the beach and so really look forward to staying there. This time we are staying in an apartment so the packing is not as complex as when we went camping and there is no need for a trailer!! The kids are looking forward to snorkelling as they have been practising in the (new)pool. Speaking of pool, it has been wonderful to watch my 3 and a half year old teaching himself to swim!! Yes really! He refuses to let anyone show him what to do and stubbornly and repeatedly tries things out for himself. He has got the arms and legs going and there is lots of splashing and he's not looking too bad!
Here are some more photos from our camping trip!
This visitor wasn't near our tent thankfully!! See you in a week!

For those who are about to ask Shelly what the animal is - it's a 1.5 metre monitor lizard, known as a Goanna.
Glad last week was great, Shelle, and I hope this week will be just as good, although different.
Leave some fish'n'chips for us for next week, won't you?
Yes! The Beach is great fun!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!!!!
Have a great time Shelly. I can't wait till next year when my youngest will be 3 (and a "little" bit more sensible/controllable - may be wishful thinking I know) and we can have a holiday at the beach. Day visits are OK for now.
Lovely photos. Hope your beach holiday is great fun and you get appropriate weather! We've just come back from ours and I never once felt warm enough to wear shorts! :-(
SOOOO jealous!
How lucky to have the sun!!! Okay . . . and what the heck is that "visitor" by your tent!!?? I don't think that we have things like that out in the wild here in America, do we?! LOL!
Hope you're enjoying it! The weather has been brilliant up here and I suspect you've had the same in the nearest beach to you...
I hope you've had a wonderful sandy salty ice-creamy time! I look forward to hearing all about your beach holiday :)
Wow! I have never heard of Goanna's! I actually just looked them up online to read more about them. Do you see them often? Are they dangerous? It is very interesting!! :)
