Have you ever....

...sent your child to childcare with a really dirty face because you hadn't washed it at all that morning.... With really really messy hair that had not been brushed for 2 days and we had skipped the Sunday night wash....With a t-shirt that had been worn for 2 days and 1 night (he begged to wear it again today and I relented!)....wearing shorts that are actually cut off size 2 trousers and so have that frayed hem look....and as soon as you walk in you realise it is School Photo Day!!!!!

Oh Shelly this gave me a giggle! I may not have done exactly this but my youngest girl hates her hair brushed so much that we scrape it back into a bun most mornings with the help of a bit of strawberry spray (detangler) - only that it is very curly I'm sure it would look oily most of the time! And she hates wearing clothes - tells me she's hot most of the time and so when I pick her up from daycare she's half stripped off her clothes to show the rather skanky things with lots of holes that are put on underneath!

And pooh to "spelling games" for 4 year olds - irritating show-offs. I bet when their next child comes along and they don't like spelling at 4 years old you won't hear a peep out of them!

Shelly you are a woman after my own heart!

I forget to brush my kids' hair with astonishing regularity, although I am better now that Laura goes to school and I have to do it up somehow.

I bet the photo ends up looking cute anyway!

Every year! It's only now that the girls are old enough to remember when photos are and do their own hair that they look good! LOL

This gave me a giggle, too!

As for the top, it's one of my own designs. It's basically a wide necked peasant style top, with the neckline drawn in with elastic, and raglan sleeves. Does that make any sense? Send me an email (addy on my blog) if you need any more info.

PS I might make some for my etsy shop - would you be interested?

PPS Glad you liked the corn fritters!
