We went to a river with some friends who taught us the art of catching these little creatures!! Great fun for everyone and after we caught a few we let them all go again!!!
Of course after all that work a swim was needed and underwear works just as well!!!

I used to yabby in a local dam when I was a kid growing up in Canberra. You had to use raw meat as bait. My Dad tried cooking them once but somehow overdid the salt and they were awful.
undies only work as swim wear until they hit their teens!
I used to love yabbying. We'd use a bit of sausage inside a stocking. Worked a treat.
We used to cook them too (without salt, Stomper) and they were pretty good!
Never did it in my undies though...
Yabbying was always fun to do... though I never remember eating them. We used anything from bread, devon (gross) and dry dog food to catch 'em.
Great pic of Shay - that's so cute, but really, you a so going to be in trouble for posting that in a few years!
