...pisses me off!!! The carpet shop rang me to give me a quote on some deck carpet. I asked the young girl if should could e.mail it to me as well as post it. Now I have met her and she appeared quite young and happening and seemed quite good on the computer when I saw her in the shop. Over the phone I gave her my e.mail address. She took it down quickly although did remark at it being quite a long address. A couple of days later I rang to say I still hadn't recieved the quote per e.mail or post. I gave her the e.mail address again. Needless to say I still haven't had an e.mail from them.

Ha ha!! Reminds me of when I was teaching people to scuba dive and a student was telling a German divemaster her last name, which was Gaffney. So she spelled it out: G-a-f-f-n-e-y. But he wrote down: G-a-f-f-anyway, because that's exactly what he heard :)
Hope the carpet turns out to be really nice.
Yes yes yes. Shoddy customer service drives me barmy, too.
I know I sound like an old fogey saying this, but customer service has SO gone to the dogs.
I feel your pain. Hope the pain eases soon - ie you get an e-mail or something in the mail!
Well.. there are some freaky email addresses around - it's not outside the realms of possibility that you live under a school....
My mum's best letter was addressed to Lin Woo.
It's probably a family thing, but i'm giggling as I type .. ahh.. my Chinese sterotypical mother ...
Oh, that's what's SO wrong about the younger generation :-)
I asked a young salesgirl at JB HI-FI to double check that $30 x 7 was $210 (of course I knew, but was really just testing her) and she just shrugged helplessly and said she didn't have a clue!!
